Ghost the series: The Desert’s Daughter.
The Game never ends. It only changes venues.
Bill was supposed to be another nameless victim. He was just a piece of prey for the wealthy elite to track across the Nevada sands for sport. He thought escaping the dunes was the hard part. He was wrong.
Bill discovers a silent, traumatized toddler named Ghost hidden in a desert cellar. After this discovery, his mission transforms. He moves from a desperate run for his own life to waging an all-out war to protect an innocent one. But Ghost carries a secret in her icy blue eyes. This secret makes her more valuable than any trophy the Hunting Club has ever tracked.
From the burning sands of the “Game Lands” to the gritty urban slums, this is a high-stakes survival thriller. It explores the unbreakable bond between a man who has lost everything and a child. She never had anything to start with.
GHOST: THE DESERT’S CHILD
They made it out of the desert. Now, they have to survive the woods.
The Hunting Club hasn’t lost a trophy yet. And they aren’t about to start now.

Round Two

The desert was a nightmare. The wilderness is a trap.
Neil survived the unthinkable: an illegal human-hunting game where he was the prey. He didn’t escape alone. He rescued “Ghost,” a traumatized toddler left for dead in the dust. Now, living under new identities in forty-eight acres of isolated timberland, Neil is determined to give Jen the childhood she never had – one filled with cartoons, puppies, and the safety of a man she can finally call Daddy.
But the hunters didn’t just follow them. They are inside their home.
A chilling discovery reveals that the game has evolved. With high-tech surveillance bugs implanted under their skin, every whisper is monitored, and every heartbeat is tracked. The sadistic elite aren’t just watching; they are playing a psychological game that pushes Neil to his breaking point.
When a mysterious messenger emerges from the shadows with a terrifying claim – that Jen’s biological father wants her back – Neil is issued a deadly ultimatum:
Hand Jen over within three days, or die.
Neil has built a fortress of metal and cameras, but he is about to find out that some monsters don’t trip sensors. In a heart-pounding race against a shadowy enemy, he must decide if he is the guardian Jen needs or if he is leading her into a secondary slaughter.
The hunt is back on. And this time, the prey is biting back.

However, can they withstand the injustice of a system aimed at tearing them apart?

I am Darkness
I Am Darkness
By Stephanie Woodie
I Am Darkness is a chilling collection of interconnected horror stories. These stories explore the vast, cold reach of an ancient, primordial entity.
In the Prologue, you will meet Darkness a sentient, eternal force that predates time and matter. Darkness was forged in ancient fury. This happened after the intrusive birth of Light and the “parasitic” life it spawned. It retreats into the untouched corners of existence. Darkness plots its eternal revenge against creation. Its purpose is singular. It seeks to consume all life. As a result, Light will wither and die. This will leave the universe in silence once more.
The rest of the book reveals the horrifying reality through three short stories. The plot is reflected in these stories.
They cover three terrifying tales. First,
The Fog: Follow Mike and Amanda, a couple moving to a quiet mountain home. They want to raise their unborn child there. Their hope is shadowed by an unnatural, unloving wall of fog at their property line. This presence radiates a bone-deep cold. It seems to be watching, waiting, and patiently pulling the warmth and life from their world.
House Shopping: The Harpers, seeking a fresh start, buy the house that Mike and Amanda left behind. They notice the same unnervingly cold and silent fog. As their daughter Lily becomes fascinated by its faint, hypnotic humming, they are drawn to the edge of curiosity. This curiosity will eventually consume them entirely.
The Wrong Trail: A group of eight hikers takes a wrong turn. They find themselves trapped in a looping arc of forest. They constantly return to a wall of unmoving fog. They realize the threat is not physical. Instead, it is a quiet, emotional pull. It is an unnatural urge to step closer, to understand the ancient hunger waiting just inside the white abyss.

The Holler Handbook: A Dictionary of Appalachian Language.
By Stephanie Woodie
Step into the heart of the high country, where the air is ‘airish’ and the stories run as deep as the ‘hollers.’ This book is a vibrant tribute to one of America’s most distinct cultural treasures: the Appalachian language. The mountains have isolated communities for centuries. This isolation has acted as a natural time capsule. It has preserved the colorful, rhythmic speech of the Scots-Irish, English, and German settlers of the 1700s.
When you hear a mountain ‘old-timer’ speak, you are hearing echoes of Elizabethan England in words like ‘reckon’ and ‘haint.’ Descriptors like ‘sigogglin’ highlight the whimsical aspect of the people. They were observant and lived close to the land in places like Ashe County, North Carolina.
The Holler Handbook is a definitive collection of over a 100 common Appalachian words and phrases. It is meant to preserve the wit, the warmth, and the unique ‘way of sayin” that defines this resilient heritage. Whether you’re a lifelong local or a ‘jasper’ just passing through, this guide will help you. It will ensure you mind your manners. You will be able to talk the mountain talk. It’s more than a dictionary—it’s a celebration of the mountain tongue.
Highlights inside:
Over 100 essential words, including ‘victuals,’ ‘britches,’ and ‘a-fixin’’ with pronunciation and example sentences.
A collection of regional sayings and idioms. Some examples are “Happy as a dead pig in the sunshine” and “Harder than a wood knot.”
Fascinating “Did You Know?” facts about the history and linguistic origins of the dialect.
